OPERATION BLACK VOTE
FAKE VIEWS
It’s November 2019 and Britain is a bit of a hot mess. There’s no deal on Brexit, the country is on to their third leader in three years, and yet another general election has been called. In the middle of this the young people who will live to face the consequences of the election, but still largely haven’t registered to vote.
In a flash-campaign for Operation Black Vote, we set out to remind young people that if they don't vote their opinions won’t be represented, and replaced with something much worse.
Working with movie stars Nathalie Emmanuel and Will Poulter, journalist Ash Sarkar, rapper Nadia Rose and The Voice winner Jermain Jackman, we created films and outdoor posters that shows what happens when you let other people speak for you.
RESULTS
/A bump of 50.000 young voters registered in one day
/Motivated by the campaign, OBV persuaded the Labour Party to adopt most points of the Race Equality Manifesto into their platform.
